Here's a rose to show my affection
Within it's leaves you'll find protection
The stem is for the road that lays ahead
With thorns as obstacles that are imbed
But when we face all of those
If in our hearts we have that power
Our love will blossom as this rose
And will turn into this beautiful flower
When that flower starts to wilt
And loses the beauty outside
The stem will be strongly built
On the love that we provide

| Kolbrun, this poem inspires me to write from the other point of view. Our next wedding aniversary is our 50 th. It may take a week or two to compose but thank you for the inspiration. Lovely (in the true sense of the word) poem. |
