Do You Care?

Do You Care

If I died today,
Would anybody care?
The thoughts of suicide
Make it hard to breathe.
I hear a voice telling me,
Beckoning me towards death.

I can picture it,
From start to finish.
Choking down pills,
And being found dead,
Gone forever.
Would anybody care?

I feel invisible,
To the whole world.
A spec of dust,
Everybody brushes off.
I’m always crying,
But does anyone notice?

I’m all alone.
I turn to God,
But I can’t find Him.
I know He’s there
Reaching out to me,
But I can’t leave
My darkness and my fantasies.

In my fantasies people care about me,
But then I wake up to reality,
Realizing I’m nobody,
Nobody cares.

I’m heading farther in,
Towards the voices of death.
Does anyone care?
