Never Forget

Contributed by xxx_fem_fatale_xxx on Monday, 24th April 2006 @ 05:19:24 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Life,

You give, you recieve, that is the plan,
real life however, never holds itself to the plan,
often you give more than you recieve.

Never anticipate to recieve all back that you give,
take pleasure in giving, as giving often get rewarded,
in an unexpected gift, right before our own eyes,
in ways we are often not familiar with, with love,
with friendship, with children, with people that pass by,
not just any love or friendship, but a greater love,
one that many wish to experience.

The gift of life, is to give, not expect anything in return
and be rewarded with the greatest gift of all,
a love so unconditional, being loved for the person you are.

Never forget who you are and always be yourself.

~~~Nats~~~
People often say I'm too friendly ond overly generous, cuz I'm willing to drop whatever I'm doing if someone needs me or needs something. The way I see it, I'm not getting harmed or effected negatively in any way, The feeling I get from doing something "good" for someone, for me, is the greatest feeling.
It's great reading poetry like this to which I can so closely relate to.
Keep it up.
Ash~
I agree with you Nats, it is always better to give than receive.The only trouble is, some people insist on taking and never giving.
If there were more givers, the world would be a better place
Steve
Very deep. Yes it is hard when we feel we give more to life than we get out of it. Nice write.
