Sky’s View
I sit and I look up at the sky
I can see the clouds rolling by
I can see the tree tops reaching for the heavens
And I can see the sun trapped behind the clouds
The sky is lost it seems so empty yet so full
It’s almost like you can feel the presents of the angels
You can hear their whispers in the wind
I can look into the sky and see the angels as
They fly with their wings spread wide
They take the few needed souls to the heavens for
A new beginning, they have no knowledge of what is to come.
I sit and I look up at the sky from this 4 wall
Cubical made of solid brick
They hold me captive
But soon I’ll be free
Free to see the heavens
Free to be with the angels
Soon you’ll look up and you’ll see me
And I’ll reach back when you reach out

I picture another devotional to a loved one passed and an unknown new beginning of a longed for reunion. The cubical seems to be mortality.
