MR.BUSH AND MR.BLAIR

MR.BUSH & MR.BLAIR

Bush and Blair, sans political wisdom, committed a blunder,
By hastily declaring war on Iraq and forcing her to surrender.
They blatantly invented a cause to cover up their misadventure,
Caught in the cross fire, they realised the futility of their venture.

The deafening noise of bomb explosion, every fateful day,
The battered place, a holocaust, a depressing sight all the way.
And the dead bodies thrown around, caught in the bloody trap,
Demolished buildings, twisted vehicles, setting the backdrop.

People gathering on the streets, terribly shocked and helpless,
And a pall of gloom descended, on seeing the victims hapless.
Hundreds of wounded carried hurriedly amidst sirens wailing,
These are the harrowing scenes in Iraq, devastated and ailing.

The soldiers sent to Iraq on a mission unfair and unwarranted,
Fighting a war, thrust on them, demoralised and dispirited.
And many died, as unsung heroes, their sacrifice, lay wasted,
They became victims to the evil designs of Bush, the hated.

What did they achieve by making a war unjust and uncalled for?
Ignoring the raising wide protests all over the world against war.
Their action further fuelled the already burning global terrorism,
The unabated suicide bomb attacks bear testimony to this barbarism.

And thou, the impetuous leaders, withdraw your forces immediately,
For the war has caused irreparable damage to the gullible Iraqis, awfully.
And you squandered away millions of dollars for the war, that ravaged,
Instead, you could have spent for the betterment of the underprivileged.

Another Saddam Hussein will emerge again, the moment you leave,
And could you afford to make war again, and cause people to grieve?
Stop meddling with the internal affairs and playing a deceptive Samaritan,
Let Iraqis decide their own destiny; the war set them on a course, uncertain.

Osama is having a big laugh at you from his hide-out, untraceable,
For the war has further strengthened the hands of terrorists, inexorable.
Conserve your energy to nab the eluding Osama and the real militants,
Rather than dissipating it on the war and mercilessly killing the innocents.

**Clapping** great write. Powerful and truthful.
I am anti-war...it is good for no one. Peace, Laura
