Friendships Garden

Contributed by NoSaint on Sunday, 23rd April 2006 @ 05:44:23 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Raindrops gentle touch
Teardrops tell much
Mourning what was lost
To the soul a high cost

Friends come and then take leave
For the loss we tend to grieve
But are thankful for the memories
And the good times we still see

But as spring starts to unfold
New horizons shine like gold
We start anew and are blessed
As the old we let take a rest

No regrets are ours
Each friend is a special flower
But some sharper thorns hold
And the pain to our hearts bold

So those we prune from garden
But towards them never our hearts harden
Just better to let go
Than more heart ache inside sow

Others are quite a delight
And shine for us ever so bright
So towards these flowers I tend
As my heart begins once more to mend

Very lovely and meaningful Shari.
In German/Austrian we have a saying:

"Another mother has a beautiful child too"

(don't let hyour heart be broken.because another mothers' child is lovely too. :-)
So wise! Don't you agree?

Love and peace
Elizabeth

WOW!

I was entralled by this write. You never seem to lose your touch. You are such a gifted poet, and here I see all the things I have seen before from you with a stronger penatration than usual. I loved this write very much.

There was a slight sadness but a very resolved feeling in the beginning. Your final stanza opens all of that thought to hope and a great courage.

BRAVO!

Splendid as always

SCM
