Sleepy Trevor

Contributed by katt on Sunday, 23rd April 2006 @ 09:59:27 AM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

After a long and busy day
of riding his bike and playing games,
Trevor who is seven-years-old
goes to bed without being told.
But Trevor can not find sleep at all,
he thinks there's a knocking on the wall.
It was such a scary sound to hear,
he wondered what it was and it sounded so near.
He closed his eyes and tried to sleep,
but when he did the bed began to squeak.
He slowly dropped to the floor instead,
rolled under his bed and covered his head.
He had just closed his sleepy eyes,
when a strange noise was heard to his surprise.
He did not know what the noise could be,
but decided this wasn't the place to be.
He crawled out from under his bed scared,
looked and listened but nothing was there.
Then before he even knows it,
he wakes and finds himself next to the closet.
He slowly opened the closet door,
crawled inside and went to sleep on the floor.
Trevor had found sleep at last,
and there he stayed till the night had passed.

Sooo cute and as per previous comments reads like a childrens story.

I remember years ago my son went missing we had a local search party out looking for him.

When we were just on the verge of calling the police.

We found him in the closet!

He smiled and said "I was hiding!"

Little ******!
