Ship of Dreams

Contributed by MarlyS on Monday, 3rd February 2003 @ 08:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Event

Radiant ship, glowing with encouragement
Bound for America in a mere five days
Man, woman, child in their glory of triumph
All full of wander of
The Ship that couldn't sink,
The Ship that couldn't sink.

Devotion greeting, through embody knowing not what would become of them,
for they all knew,
"It's the Ship that couldn't sink."
The Ship that couldn't sink.

"Iceberg, straight ahead!"
Shattered all hopes, shattered all dreams
Mixed minutes went by, ocean started swallowing
Realization hit, they're going under,
in the Ship that couldn't sink,
the Ship that couldn't sink.

So many people, so few boats.
Some women, children survived,
Few men able to reunite
Wary through passion, vanishing through
mid-air.
Promises kept, memories through past lives, whispers of good-byes
In the Ship that couldn't sink,
The Ship that couldn't sink.
