Christmas is here, for the first time,
Not being able to say my Goodbye's.
I cherish the memories, we shared together.
The good ones and the bad ones.
Realizing I made my last memory, the day that you died.
Message on the answering machine, wishing me a Happy Birthday.
Then realizing as I wait for your Birthday to come around,
To hear the dreaded sound that you have passed away.
I still celebrated your Birthday;
even though, it wasn't the same.
I felt your presence all around me,
letting me know everything will be ok.
Knowing your last words you breathed were "Tell Marly I Love Her." So, that's the last memory of you and me.
I Love You Dad.
Christmas is here, for the first time.
Not being able to say my Goodbyes.
