Lost and Found - Track 8 - Going Home

Contributed by Nazmythian on Saturday, 22nd April 2006 @ 09:36:56 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

All of his life so much was uncertain
But there in the end, at Slide's final curtain
All of the pieces he found finally fit
And a light in his mind was suddenly lit

The Devil came back, to sell Slide a few years
He promised a stage and each night filled with cheers
He swore he'd restore Slide's glorious past
Growing more and more desperate as each moment passed

All of the words sounded stale and old
The same exact lines, as a boy, he'd been told
Slide closed his eyes and he whispered a prayer
He waited a moment and this song was there

[ authors note: I owe far more thanks ... to far more people ... than I could ever hope to convey for all of their help,
the inspiration, the hours of editing, the art work previews and early sound tests, To anyone and every one with even
the slightest part ... yours was a role that helped this project along and I sincerely thank you, I thank you all. ]

I haven't been around in forever but Nazzy....It was so wonderful to come back and see Slide! Now I will have to take the time to read all that I missed!

I'm so glad Slide found his peace....good job Nazz.

Hugs,
Coral

Well, this virtual album has been a pleasure to peruse, Nazzy old boy. The graphics, recordings, "liner notes", all has gone into making this feel like a genuine red-carpet production (one, of course, picked up in a magic record store which vanishes immediately afterwards). I admire the focus which turned out this collection, and the imagination as well.

What's your fancy tonight? I must buy you a drink for that.

Andrew
