When I'm Gone

WHEN IM GONE

My soul will find you
in years time
when Im gone...

It'll tap you, and I will smile
because by then you'll remember
what we lived so long ago

If time were to rewind
and my life were to go backwards
I would be so happy
to be there with you

I should've never left
I wanted to stay with you and the rest
but I couldn't
and I wasn't sure why then
You probably didn't know either

You're not here
and thats my fault
I left too early
without a proper goodbye
your only mistake...

I would've hold you tight
you would've hold me tighter
so they couldn't pull me away
and take me to an unknown place
but they did, and you didn't stop it

if you could see me
or even know this
You'd be amazed....

If I had been there with you
It would be so different
I would've stayed your true friend

So little back then
means so much to me now
without those memories I wouldn't survive
You probably dont even care
but I still have that picture...

You didn't forget, did you?
all those moments
weren't insignificant...please
dont ever say that, I pray

because you'd hurt me
like a dagger through my heart
and I would cry enough tears
to maybe swim your way and find you

and probably destroy you
so you wouldn't be here....with me
as you always have.

You dont remember now
but I do
and you will...
when Im gone

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
