selfstruggles

Black clouds above me; following me everywhere I go.
Illness and injury surround me so.
A wrath he's put upon me; a God I've never seen.
I must have been sinister in another life, for this one I'm damned
And never to be thought of twice.
Every month it's something new, another set back,
This month let's make it two!
A sick sense of humor on is part; laughing at my tears
As if they were his work of art.
Keep the faith is what I'm told, but who has faith
When they feel so damn old?
What else will happen, I dare to ask. For I know whatever it is,
I'm not up for the task.
Yet somehow I survive, day by day.
All the while asking,
Why God made me this way.
