the war at midnight

It was a special event.
Guests dressed in clothes with themes,
That had absolutely no meaning.
I was waiting for him,
I knew he would come.
He came when “she” came.
When he entered I readied for his attack,
He refused to touch her,
But stayed close.....
"lapdog" I muttered.
I quickly planned my attack,
Scanning the area for a sacrifice.
Faces were blurred,
And seemed all the same.
But one stood out,
One of his soldiers.
It was time for the attack,
Midnight.
Perfect for treason.
He looked so innocent,
So young.
He was the most attractive,
He would cause the most pain.
I played like a pro,
The morning star would be proud.....
I pretended to cry,
To swoon,
To see no else.
He fell as planned,
And I attacked.
Severing my enemy's eyes.
I saw my prize,
He was now defeated,
But my sadistic desires urged on
And without hesitation…
Delivered the final blow.
He hid his wounds
Yes…
They were well hidden ….
Or so he thought.
He swiftly existed with his chosen in hand.
And i quickly executed my chosen lamb and left to find peace
Leaving yet another mark for peter's scroll...........
