Sweet Love

Contributed by Craze on Thursday, 20th April 2006 @ 11:25:05 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Sunshine in my face
Your arm around my waist
It seems as though I have found my place
My heart begins to race as I try to get it under control
As it slows to a dull soft lull
As this all seems to mull in my head
Your touch awakens me and releaves me of my dread
I no longer feel dead and alone
Then it hits me that I am now prone to pain
This thought is then pushed away and replaced with thoughts of what I could gain
As my worry begins to drain and think
This is how I want to remain

Wonderful and Brilliant! If I am getting the gist of this poem right you would rather be open to pain, than closed to any feeling. That is a beautiful and amazingly deep truth that I wish we all believed in. Your write is searing with excellence. Short and sweet, to the point.

SUPERB!

The title of your poem is nearly the same as one of mine that I have not posted yet.....I am hesitant to post alot of my poems because they may not be good reads as they a little depressing. but I guess that comes from the pain of love.

I liked your expressive feelings and emotions here. Good flow. Very good job!

yeah, sometimes you gotta weigh the odds and the pain of heartache can maybe be worth the pleasure of findin' it. and this is a more pleasant subject matter to be sure.
