Many times I've wondered
So many nights I've cried
Why is it so lonely for me
Why am I being denied?
Often it hit in the dark of night
Lying in bed all alone
Alone is such a single word
Chilling me all the way to my soul.
I think at times we're put to the test
To see if hearts will endure
Granting us a chance at true love
A feeling so warm, and pure.
It's only on the darkest nights
That we see stars shine so bright
As you my heart, my kindred love
Turned my darkness into light.
This love was well worth the wait
So loving and gentle you are
Of all the lights shining that night
You're the brightest...my shining star.
Now dear heart it's only you
My heart now sings your name
Giving me a reason to smile
A warm and welcome change.
Such a special feeling inside
When two hearts entwine
A love we agree, well worth the wait
Honest feelings that's so divine.
My heart now knows of love so true
Since you came into my life
It's as fresh as the morning dew
Gone are heartache and strife.
And to think that somewhere
Out there, you too were feeling pain
It just wasn't our time to love
Now there's sunshine, no more rain..
So thankful every waking day
We have love beyond compare
With you and only you my love
My heart and feelings I'll share.
