The woman across the street
Sometimes,
Sometimes leaves her bedroom curtains open.
And when I clean my teeth
In my bathroom opposite
Sometimes,
Sometimes, I see her in her pyjamas or bra.
And once,
Oh once, I saw her bum.
And now,
Now, I have the cleanest teeth in my street,
And sometimes,
Sometimes the sun reflects off them.
And once,
Oh once the sun shone off them and into her room.
And now,
Oh now she shuts her curtains.

you have such a lateral out there way of thinking!
The style here reminds me of the Liverpool poets, Brian Patten, Roger Mcgough etc.
You are definitely pushing the boundaries with your work and making people think.
Great work.

And Mervyn Peake, yes definitely a fan of MP or soaked in a broth of his subconscious. I have done this too, but without my glasses it was all a fantastic, memorable blur.

that's funny. I like the twist at the end as well. |
