anguished

Sun tinged hues gleam from the watery depths of your existence
as I peer into the lucid pool of oblivion
knowing that you're eternally captured in its dominion
Subject to the caprices of this odious death
whose whims shift like the iridescent diamond
As the giants etch themselves into the fated dusk
puncturing its supple flesh
causing it to weep lurid sunsets
time slowly saunters before me
stagnating in the doldrums of this desolate silence
Your face wanes in the transient twilight
Words seep into the nothingness
Acid eyes sear the placid blackness
and I bleed just to feel your memory
just to know that you ever were
Lick the arid dust just to taste you
Plunge deep into the mirror just to seize the faint glitter of your warm brown eyes
but I drown in the ocean of the forgotten
Like two lovers parting at dawn
we are separated by times abyss
I'll never see you again
Never behold your majestic beauty
Never watch the morning light caress your silhouette
My mangled mind can't comprehend the transition
But I'll love you forever

You expressed the pain of the loss of a loved one very well. I understand since I lost my husband seven years ago. My heart goes out to you. this was a great read. Very good job!
