Sick From Love (Song of Solomon 2:5)

Contributed by Lilly-Quill on Tuesday, 18th April 2006 @ 01:08:17 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Two soul paths destined through the night
Perhaps not situated, for the time, just right
I leave you, my love, at the foot of the cross
‘Tis the hardest thing I do, with sense of loss

Between these net-pages His hand has come
A glitch in the system or an appointment not won
Disheartened but lifted, I’m sheltered in God
Love, do not call me; for I’m sick of love’s sod

Callous friends, of the friendless, keep far away
If victory means aloneness then alone I shall stay
Don’t falter, don’t waver, don’t come near my door
Wisdom she holds me, and I need nothing more

Beautifully written. I enjoyed reading your poem. A message from the heart of pain and sadness of love. Great job!

Very nice meter and rhyme... this is a good poem, inspired by one of my favorite Books too. After Ecclesiastes, of course...
Take care.

Wow, this is beautiful. A very good friend of mine told me you were a very talented poet, and I see they have not lied. I love this. Song of Solomon is my favorite book, and you have reminded me why. Thanks :)
