Too Late

Contributed by marichris on Monday, 17th April 2006 @ 09:48:37 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

everyday i cry in pain
but you couldnt see... you couldnt hear
the demons inside my head
i'm lost in this great oblivion
... dwelling in my endless miseries
but still you couldnt see... you couldnt hear
... my pleas to live

i'm tired of living in vain
... world full of sorrows and masquerade
so with nothin more to gain
i took my blade and slit my vein
...solemnly i smile as a i watch the crimson blood flows
knowing everything will be over soon

i was about to swoon
... ready to embrace the darkness
when i heard your familiar strong voice
pulling me away from my bliss ... a great abyss
slowly i opened my eyes
and saw your pale face stained with tears
your beautiful lips trembling
... forming ... 'i'm so sorry'
pearls of teardrops flow down from my eyes as i look at you
...i look down on the deep gush on my wrist
and you followed my gaze
groggily i tried to speak
you look straight to my glassy eyes and hugged me closer to your ear
...so i softly whispered ...
' what took you so long?'
