Blinded by an ego too great for mere mortals to witness,
Standing on the precipice of fate too great to suppress,
I am unwaveringly drawn to this sun of such magnitude,
With depths where fires burn crimson, and infinite fortitude.
For I am the Earth; circle of life dancing to your song;
Basking in your brilliance, I spin alone all year long.
Flung in an elliptical orbit only physicists can guess,
Your will constantly changes, with the least bit of progress.
It comes back around, and in a year back where it started;
I have tired of your sick, twisted circles; I have finally departed.
Piloted through space, I begin to chart my own course,
And as leave I dont feel the slightest speck of remorse.
But as I keep getting further, it keeps getting colder
Until finally one day, when I am eons older,
I realize that I have made an appalling mistake;
My plan to live without you was a fragmented fake.
Its too late now; no one can ever get me back;
Fate now decrees that I must wander into the deepest of black.
