In a Day much like Today

So much can happen in a day. Watch a sunset, or see the schoolchildren play.
You can love, or hate, maybe cry as you see a loved one slipping away.
I try to remember everything happening today, but I won’t because tomorrow is a new day.
I hear the words being said. I know they will lead her to a better place?
I chose them carefully. They were not simply tossed out like yesterdays household waste?
Words of meaning, does your speech hold any value?
Hear the phrase I love you being said.
Is the voice full of meaning, and when heard does it even ring true?
Looking at her, I knew what I had to do. Whispering in her ear, my words were few.
Saying Goodbye was so hard, but it was the best thing for us and she knew it too.
Everything that I could say was said, my heart wanted to stay, but it ended as fast it began, in a Day much like Today.

A hell of a job here. I think you should have formatted it differently. Then again, I am less about format and more about feeling. You feeling here was powerful and well understood. A solid job all around.
