Desperately Trying

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Honey, I love you more than life itself
You beauty rises all around
Come and see the great love I have found

Im sorry my pain has hurt you again
Baby please forgive my awfull sin

Please honey, dont you cry
I know I promised that I would try
I tried may hardest and now ive let you down
If you walked out on me now i would understand

I dont know why my pain is on my own hand
O baby I know your down
But honey please dont hurt yourself
I know you want to
But baby you gota understand
I need you more than an hourglass needs sand

Having you in my life is all I want
All I could ever ask for is to be with you
Knowing your there and knowing you care
Baby it means more to me then youll ever know
You have no clue what you've done for me
Baby you have set me free
From the prison I call ME

I used to always be depressed
Down and out for the count
But what you have shown me is that I do matter
I now see my purpose in this world
Its not to be some great mind
Its not to discover some great find
My life is for you and you alone

Honey I know you see
How much our love is meant to be
Now I ask you in my tears
Please forgive me for the pain that I cause
Please forgive me for hurting you
Baby please lets work this through
I hope you see, how much you mean to me.

This is not bad for your age. I started writing at 17 that was 21 years ago. Good job on your poem.
