My Fallen Angel

Contributed by onceandagain on Sunday, 16th April 2006 @ 01:39:24 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I sit here without you, with only time to reflect.
How could things have gone so wrong?
The answers in their coming are so very long.
I sit and think about you,
Your always on my mind.
At night I dream about you,
And all we left behind.

Where did I fail you?
What more could I have done?
I only tried to help you,
But you would turn and run.
I know you know what you did was wrong,
But with your fathers help, your denial is strong.

You say if I would have let you leave,
What you did wouldn't have been done.
But I am your mother,
And in my eyes my children are number one.
Now you are gone, where? I don't know,
And I don't know for how long.
Your father has taken you,
And now you're on the run.

You're only 14 Anna,
And your life should be carefree.
You should be at home,
Living here with me.
But instead, you chose to pick up the weapon,
And use it upon me.
Wounded, and broken hearted,
In the hospital I had to be.

You went to jail then juvenile hall.
As a mother I was thinking,
"How much further must she fall?"
Before she realizes for her actions,
She must pay a price.
I've tried to get you help,
But your attitude was like ice.

Now I don't know what will happen,
I guess that's up to the Judge.
Your so bitter towards me now,
Forever to hold a grudge.

I love you more than anything,
More than life it's self.
I've given so many years to you,
Put my own life upon the shelf.
I've given my life for you kids,
Put aside all my wants and needs.
To make sure you had all lifes pleasures,
Never to beg or plead.

All I can do for you now,
Is send up a many prayer.
To ask God to keep you,
In His loving care.
You are His precious child,
Who should be meek and mild.
But instead you've traveled a different path,
You are a wild child.

I pray you turn your life around,
And travel a different road.
And lean upon our Heavenly Father,
For He will lighten your load.

Until we meet again my child,
For you I'll always pray.
That you will keep me in your thoughts,
Because in my heart you will always stay.

I love you, Mom

This is heart-wrenching. I hope that you two mend things before it gets too late...

I'm sorry.
I hope everything get better. And honestly, that problems be solved.
Don't give up hope.
