Pills In My Palm

Contributed by bobbiecree on Saturday, 15th April 2006 @ 07:05:36 AM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

Headlights in my rearview mirror
Wishing I was anywhere but here
Such a righteous person you are mom
I’ll just continue driving, keeping my calm
How many pills did you pop tonight?
How many did it take to create this fight?
You’re a crazy ***** on this *****
for being your daughter this is what I get
You wonder why I’m doing drugs and am never home
I got the habit from you and dad and I hate being home alone
You maybe there, but at the same time you’re not
Lets see how many lies I sold and you bought
Clutch on to your purse tight
Don’t let it leave your sight
As soon as I get the chance I’m unzipping it
I’m digging through the mess, I won’t give up, I won’t quit
I’m popping open your so-called medicine
This won’t be the last time, I’ll end up doing it again
I’m stealing them from you
For you don’t need them to do
6 here, 8 there
This is my secret way of showing that I care
I could flush them or take them myself
Oh ***** the world, hopefully this will help
***** my parents, ***** the drugs that caused this all
***** my world, ***** this forever endless fall
I can’t change the world I was brought into
but I can take a different path
The only thing I can do
But right now life sucks worse than before
My legs are weak and my mind sore
So mom and dad thanks for tucking me in
Thanks for passing down all this sin
Tell me you love me
Tell me to be who I want to be
All I want is a normal family
but I’ll just keep telling myself there’s no black or white
There’s no wrong or right

It is an extremely painful poem, Look friend, blaming and cursing does not bring the changes that we long for in our life, but LOVE can, it has the marvelous strength to melt a hard molten rock where as parents are just humans. our tired less care and Love can certainly bring the family together under one Loving roof. All we need us faith in our self and trust in God.
Take care Friend.

wow-this poem has a LOT of emotion! it is really deep. and I feel bad for the pain that you endure watching your parents take drugs. But remember, you are your own person-YOU DON'T HAVE TO FOLLOW THIER LEAD!

Listen, faith and trust in "god" wont change ***** for you or your life, if you want to change you must do it for yourself and find the strength within yourself! you have all the power! if you dont like the lifestyle your parents have then don't start it for yourself. dont put your kids through what you're going through. dont put yourself through it. fight :)

You want to talk about night-mares, child you haven't been to HELL and back a few times yet. There's a better way, that I know. All religious crap aside; do you really think God made us robots? Ok, so it's you're choice what you choose to do. However, when I was a kid (within the rebellious stage of teens), I abandoned my folks for a better role-model at the foot of the Cross. Still, I can't believe parents can be so blind to their own apathy.

Consequently, this sound so right, so true, and honest in all that you say. Parents can show more apathy, by their actions, than any true heart-care. And for this reason, I think you've done a wonderful job of expressing yourself. God bless...

Brilliantly ascribed, good job~!
