Why does hello
Always seem like goodbye?
Why do we say its the truth
When its obviously a lie?
Why do we let go
When we're trying to save?
Why do we act like cowards
and try to be brave?
Why do we say everythings fine
When our only wish is to die?
Why do we give up
If we don't even try?
Why do we put others down
Just to fit in?
Why do we ask God for forgiveness
If we just continue to sin?
Why do we do things
We'll regret when they're done?
Why are we afraid to be ourselves
In the midst of having fun?
Why do we seek people
In which to lye the blame?
Why do we look into the barrel
and hope they'll forget our name?

Good question. Why do we?
