Farewell

Contributed by Kellros on Thursday, 13th April 2006 @ 10:31:24 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

This is for the first time we met at Waverly Mall,
anxious, shivering, pondering who you are,
this is for every night I sat outside looking at the stars,
for every cup of coffee we shared while the future was still far.

For that time we went to watch a movie and enjoyed the prawns,
the time we chilled and listened to songs,
for that time your father ripped us apart,
for all the pains we had to endure from the start.

This is for that voice that calmed my soul,
that smile that gave life a goal,
for that kiss that warmed the heart,
for each hug before we did depart.

This is for all the times we talked,
for each time we just silently sat and watched,
for all the times we worked things through,
for all the love that inside us grew.

This is for the time you said no more,
even though i knew this was coming before,
for all the months we smiled while we'd converse,
for every happy moment and laughter that burst.

This if for every tear that was shed,
this is for every drop that we physically and emotionally bled,
for all the hardships that made us strong,
for every comfort that persuaded us to go on.

All these precious memories will never fade,
even the times you did evade,
this is for every beginning that has an end,
for every clipped angel that we did defend,
for all the lonesome, heart aching few,
I bid you farewell, I will never forget all the times we had
and everything we went through.
