As I lay me down to scream,
I pray the Lord for one last dream
If I should die and do not wake
My life was all I had to take.
So now I lay me down to cry
I can't find love, time for goodbye
I did my best, did all I could
I'm letting go of breath for good.
And now I lay me down to stay
I cannot make it one more day
It's time to leave won't try again
I'll never know what could have been.
Now I must lay me down to sleep
And pray the Lord my soul to keep
'Cause I will die before I wake
I'm reaching out...is it too late?
