Reflection of the Blade

Contributed by buckbee on Wednesday, 12th April 2006 @ 07:47:51 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I see my reflection
when i stare death in the face
my eyes looking back at me
i can see my own tears falling

i look away
as it pierces my fles
my body is numb
i cant feel anymore pain

but i can feel the blood
as it flows down my arm
dripping from my fingertips
but... it feels cold

everything is cold
my blood, my heart,
my mind, my body
... and the blade

i bring the blade
back up to the level of my eyes
so i can see my reflection
for the last time

but something about it has changed
not only does my reflection
have a new red hue...
my eyes are no longer filled with tears

my body has run dry at last
my eyes have stopped crying
the blood has stopped flowing
my mind has gone numb

my lungs have stopped breathing
my heart has stopped beating
... my reflection disappears
as the blade falls to the floor

i dont hear it hit the ground
i dont even feel it slip from my hand
soon all is black
and i never see, feel, or hear anything...
ever again

Good write, I do hope that this is not something you are thinking about doing. This was a very well writen and is a good way to vent your emotions in a constructive way. I hope to read more from you later.
