Oh, sweet love of God,
That reaches out to me
He carried that cross,
And died on Calvary.
He too my chains off,
And He set my spirit free.
Oh, the sweet love of God,
That reaches out to me.
Oh, the sweet love of God,
That I have surely found.
No more does sin reign in my life,
No more, in sin, am I bound.
He took away my burdens,
And put grace where sin abound.
Oh, the sweet love of God,
That by His grace I've found.
Oh, the sweet love of God,
That brings a smile to my face.
He has gone to Heaven above,
To prepare for us a place.
In that land, we'll dwell with Him,
Who showed us His marcy and grace.
Oh, the sweet love of God,
When I will finally see His face.

Very good skeleton of a possibly magnificent poem
Put on some more descriptive meat before you are done
Correct too with took and rethink some of your words
Your skeleton poem will suddenly become a great one
Remember this as you continue to write:
With the words, you say, some might not quite agree.
However, the words you say are your story to tell.
Only you can tell your story the way that it ought to be.
The way you tell your story is what makes it sell. |
