What do you really know?

What do you really know?

What do you know about me?
What do you know about where I'm from?
What I've been through,
or what I've done?

What do you really know?

What do you know about speakin your mind?
What do you know about freedom, and being confined?
What do you know about the heart of hearts?
What do you know about a broken heart,
and piecing together the broken shards?

What do you REALLY know?

What do you know about yourself, or the way you act?
What do you know about the truth?
What makes you think you've got the facts?
What do you know about singin the blues?
When you fall,
What do you know about bouncin' back?

What do you really know?

What do you know about life?
What do you know about death?
What do you know about whats right?
What do you know about all thats left?

Tell me what you really know!

What do you really know about love?
What do you really know about hate?
What do you really know about whats above?
And if you can't say nothin...
What do you really know about the reasons you named?
What do you really know about the EXCUSES you gave?
What do you really know about why you push the blame?

I'll tell you what you really know!

You know inside it's not too late!
You know inside that you can change!
You know inside your ashamed,
cuz you know not what you say!

This is what you really know!

You know right now your not in charge!
You know right now you've drifted far!
You know right now what you have lost!
You know right now what the damage costs!

... What does anyone really know?.....

Nuthin.

I liked this for the pure reason for good use of simple words to portay something more, after all if you don't know your capabilities you will never know your limits. I take it, this is about knowing yourself?

You are right about making people think. i like that portion of your poem. And I do know something- The only answer that comes up empty is death until then you live life and you speak truth and you try to live right making as few mistakes as possible. And when you do mess up you do the honourable thing and apologize. No one is truly in control of their life all they can do is treat others the way they want to be treated. I say all this because it seems that you wanted to know. But again "What do i know" 5 stars
