Below the sheets I lay here cold
All alone, no one to hold
No man to touch to caress my skin
No eyes to see to sink right in
No hot breath to feel on me
No taste to taste, no fantasy
Just a lonely bed, as cold as stone
Nowhere to hide when you're all alone
It’s oh so quiet I can hear the clock tick
As I Pray for the next day to come around quick

Very interesting write Lynn, I can't ever remember reading a poem that is so deeply sad in emotion, yet so passionate. I had to read in over and over. Beautifully writen.....Mike |
