The Calm

Contributed by whiteleo1984 on Tuesday, 11th April 2006 @ 03:32:29 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Why is everything so calm today?
I can hear the birds chirp
the wind whistling thru the trees
the bugs hopping from leaf to leaf
Everything is so perfect,
yet I can see the clouds moving in
The sky is becoming darker
with each passing moment
I can see the sparks from the light in the sky
The rumble of the clouds
shake the foundations of the earth.
But everything is so calm right now
but, yet, I know there is a storm coming
and it's going to rain,
it's going to thunder,
it's going to lightning,
and it's going to be bad...
But right now,
it's calm and cool
and the world is at peace
but the storm is coming
Are you ready for it?

I just finished my Moutain Dew when I finished reading this poem. It's true, because the Mountain Dew was drank, I was calm, but afterwards (Soon to speak) I'm going into my stage of high. Good write.
