Coursing through the unknown breeze
Territory not yet found.
The trees reach over, watching attentively
Much like that of a wedding for anticipation
Lingering hands reaching to leap at your aid
Merely there for your own enjoyment
Reach forward, for the wedding to commence
The marriage to my daily work.
I ask for your hand every day,
with another signature of low pay
and they still stark over, still
not yet breathing.
Oh, the wait beyond it's patience
The loyalty in it's entirety.
Just one among many,
on our way for a righteous ceremony
Follow the leader;
Have faith that he knows where he is going
Perchance for freedom
Follow the dwindling path,
the shadows fall into their rightful places
The branches of our witnesses fall submissively
in a beautiful reclamation of what was once theirs.
One will remain lost in the beauty that was lost.
Reaching for our destination
Divorce from everything habitual.
A new path for the same end
But the journey was well for the wait.
They still stand proudly,
with the occasional rebel still trying to reach for the rapture.
But, beyond that of stature, and pride
Lies the ones with the branches that waver in joyous celebration!
Laugh!
The end isn't for miles!
Why!? Why are you looking away?
Do you not see?
Look!
It is but a few inches from your face
That beautifully scarred face
The leaves of remedy wait to mend
The curves of salvation are yours!
They slither to capture
Fall fluently into it's catacombs of oblivion
To not "feel" anything is to feel everything
Is that not what you wanted?
To feel?
