stones

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Let these stones break down my inhibitions
Let these thoughts and tears cease to exist
When you talk you speak the loudest
When you fall you fall the hardest
Sing my name sweetly in your song of life
Hold my hand as we walk the night
Your lips are velvet crush
Your words are nervous and short
You wait for me to guide you
You forget that im nervous too
I don’t say I am terrified but I am
I have never said I am scared but I am

We go stumble and crash
And we have sad days
bad days

Suffocated by our memories
Haunting our trust
The past is so hard the future is worse
Leaving your life in the hand of a stranger isn’t easy
We sleep in our nervous thoughts
We eat our fears and fight our breath
The past haunts me and leaves my dreams
Dreams of a life with unhappy endings
But when I see you I am not afraid
I battle my instincts to take you for myself
When you belong to you,
