Love Potion

Contributed by ShadowsCloud on Sunday, 2nd February 2003 @ 01:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Let us make a love potion,
And skillfully, with magic touch,
Paint our tender hearts blue.
Our sprit, soul, and body,
Let us devote to this adventure,
Till we accomplish the ultimate joy.

As we search for the ingredients,
Let us make the truth be our guide,
And trust; our armor of life.
Let us apply as the only device,
Loving, sharing, caring,
As we do away with foolish schemes and lies.

Then let us rub our bodies with this potion,
And cleanse our soul from evil notions,
With tender, loving feelings of pride.
While keeping the recipe in our minds,
Let us lay aside every bitterness and fright,
And rejoice in this peace we have found.

Our hope; seasoned with hints of gladness,
Let us place on eternal togetherness.
Our focus; decked with templates of kindness,
Let us remove from fruitless shyness.
And ignore every little drop of strife,
As we sip this love potion in drips.

"Let us remove from fruitless shyness", Candice, well??
Only kiddin' ya, again!;-)
This is a different style than I'm used to reading from you! And I like the way it evolves itself from the inside out! Each stanza has it's own way/style of continuing the story.
Very nice 'happily ever after' imagery, for which I keep wishing. If only!!

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, I am glad you like this one as well. Looking at me poems the way you do has given me new insight into my poetry. Which sometimes I really need. The line "Let us remove from fruitless shyness" is more for me that anyone else. Trying to give myself the courage to tell Shadow how I feel, it hasn't worked yet.
