Topic: Lifepoems

These are the days I’ve longed to write
With friends and food under sunlight
And stories new and stories old
The warmest feelings ever told

With cloudless skies and growing grass
Warm sweet winds and baseball bats
Barbeques and endless days
Memories that never fade

And though I wish it never ended
And hearts would stay forever mended
Life is destined to forever change
So let’s make tomorrow better today

These simple poems are all I have
Besides the memories and photographs
To remember days lived, not wasted
And the fruits of life our souls have tasted

With compassion and love, God up above
Knowing it all makes sense
Having a future no matter the past
Enjoying the present like it’s all that’s left

And I know how precious time is
And how fast our lives fly by
And how these days are numbered
Till the moment that we die

But if this day never ended
And hearts stayed forever mended
I know nothing would ever change
And we could make tomorrow today
