Have you ever felt the rush?
you know, the rush when the poison hits your veins?
Everything seems still for a second
all the pain ceases to exist
and all you feel is the happiness.
Your worries disappear
Pain is gone
you just don't have a thing going wrong
the rush ends that...
But then, it ends
the rush wears off.
The pain comes back
worse, even times two
worry is back, multiplied.
All your hate and anger is back
and all you wanna do is hit someone
Oh, please let that rush come back...
I haven't felt that rush for over a year
I haven't allowed that poison into me
I haven't let the point break my skin
And now I don't need the rush
I'm on a natural high
Screw the fake one
I don't need it anymore.
Hell, I never needed it to start with.

| very very ture! no one ever needs to have that kind of rush. its great that you know that and are going strong....keep it up. good write, full of truth and meaning. |

| For some reason, this falls somewhat flat when I read it... while I admire the content, the format does nothing for me... seems more like a preformance poem than anything else |
