aching after all these nights
and still i see the worms
that eat the insides of my soul
sleep
no one sees my trembling hand
it waits for sweat to seep
so one can hold its fingers still
sleeping
shaking from the earth inside me
as roots begin to show their veins
i hope you know i'm trying to stop
sleeping still
blankets become the weight of stone
and lock me to my sheets of steel
and still i crave the flavour grey
dying
rage against the heavy eyes
and see what's killing me
all the pills i ever ate
and hills of dead birds too
know me broken
like the mate
who couldn't make it through
blessedly dead.

You definately have the gift of presenting abstract images, great job at that!
Perhaops italisize the last word of each stanza for more effect? just a sugestion, otherwise very nice work here! |
