Regrets

Regrets

If I could live my life again, in a different way,
the first would be to say the things, I never got to say,
the hugs I should of given you, I never so you never knew,
how I really felt or cared, we missed so much we could of shared,

If only I could forget, not live my life with regret,
words of love you could not find, you never ever spoke your mind,
the years have flown by so fast, haunted by shadows of the past,
so if I could do it in another way, I'd say I love you every day,

Give you a big hug, tell you that I care,
it is much to late now, your no longer there,
love's an emotion, we all crave, from the cradle to the grave,
so many words left unspoken, leaving hearts sad and broken..

this touched me in ways that i cannot explain, it was very well written, but a lil advice from someone who has walked the road before, even if you just talking to the wind they will still hear your love, and every now and then let you know they still care..

I agree with brokenwings, this poem is brilliant but it is also so sad. It made me feel like crying but I also believe that she will give you a sign that she knows lillyjane. She knows everything now but she also must know that there is no need to regret as regret is for things that cannot be resolved. Your love didn't need to be resolved, it was always there and she knows that now. You have nothing to regret, the times you speak of were when things were different, when you didn't know how to change things because she didn't think they needed changing. She loves you Lilly and you love her, that's all that matters. Yesterday has gone and can never be changed but life is full of tomorrows and those tomorrows will always include her too, but should never be scarred with regret. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
