HE WENT TO THE GARDEN

Contributed by Lynnie on Saturday, 8th April 2006 @ 10:13:45 PM in AEST
Topic: Tributes

Things happen in life, we do not see,
We don’t know why you had this disease.
You suffered long, for many years;
But never once did we see any tears.

Like the man that you are,
You laid with pride,
Never once showing anger,
That you did hide.

You went to the garden,
But a voice did say,
The gate is closed,
You can’t come in today.

“But my body is dying
I can’t take it anymore,
Lord, I know you have a plan for me
Please let me know what’s in store.”

“I know that you are with me,
I can stand the pains of time;
But those around me suffer,
Please Lord, don’t be unkind.”

“Let them know I love them,
For I cannot speak these words,
My voice has been silenced now,
I can no longer be heard.”

He went to the garden,
His suffering is now past.
He is now with the Lord,
Home in Heaven at last.

I am a mother too and even though I havent had the pain you are going through I can imagine what it would be like. We never know how long we have with loved ones and this is the most beautiful poem straight from the heart. Thankyou for sharing it with us. I hope you keep strong as anyone who can write such lovely poetry is needed in this world. My thoughts and prayer go out to you. He must have been a very blest boy to have you for his mum. Lots of love jennyxx
