Great Physician, You’re my every dream
You’re the threadwork of all my seams
Forsaking the works of the flesh isn’t easy to do
Galatians five (:24) says those who do- love You
The tongue of the wise brings healing to the soul
Such Words of Wisdom, fitly set, are as apples of gold
From the Lord of oils comes the balm of the fir tree
Near the highland region east of the Jordan river, see
Come thou great Physician, Divine
Come and cauterize the wounds unkind
No other kiss, so heavenly, can cure
Thy Love is better than wine, for sure
Cauterize the wound and stem the flow of stupidity
The flesh won’t yield the Eye-gate for God’s reality
If you can't preach like Peter, If you can't pray like Paul,
Just tell the love of Jesus, And say He died for all.
Then, why not yield thy wounds to Israel's great Physician
Since the eyes shout what the lips fear to say, in recognition
My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door
My bowels were moved for him, yearning for nothing more
I am come into His Garden, I tasted the honeycomb of His honey
O friends drink His wine, with milk; eat, be satisfied, without money
My beloved grab through the hole in the lattice door of the wall
Transforming our destiny, against all odds, for victory’s call
