Into the sunlight the darkness fell,
first setting fire to the stars;
they stretching black across
staunch and brazen fields,
then rambling silver over
scorched and scarlet waters;
they slamming stone before the
moons reluctant fires.
She was in a white gown,
grouped hands sadly
knit upon her breasts.
Her hair imagined almond
winds shifting softly
in the sand.
The night hid in the clarity
of her remorse;
the oceans lost in the
brooch of her desires.
