Blessed Night

O blessed night come once again
with skies as dark as ebony
and block out the light of day,
that I may never again look upon his face.
Call forth the north wind,
to cool my skin that still burns with his touch.
Let thunders rage,
and drown out his voice, which still resonates in my head,
with false promises of love.
Cover the moon's silver face,
for I want no memories of moonlit nights, and whispered words of desire.
Hide the stars from my sight, as there is nothing more to wish for,
for there will be, no other love like this.
Dim the northern lights,
as the light in my heart is also extinguished,
as I vow to never love again.
Summon forth the driving rains, to wash away his taste upon my lips,
and bring forth the floods to drown this sorrow.
And lightening fire will never again illuminate this heart.
So come to me O blessed night,
and pity me with your darkness.

*Cries* This is so sad. But it is so true and so descripive. It really screams its meaning. |
