I'm on the way home

Contributed by Archie on Friday, 7th April 2006 @ 01:15:30 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

A slow steady march preludes and permeates this song. If you can hear that in your head then you will find a melody all your own for your march through life. This song represents my march. It was written in my youth and modified through my experiences to fit my life today. This is the poem version.

I''m on the way home
through mountains and valleys
I''m gonna walk until
I see God walk with me

I can''t make it to heaven
all by myself
so please send your spirit unto me
I''m getting tired Lord
but I''m still walking on

I''m on the way home
been gone for a long time Lord
I''ve lost my way in life
and need guidance from your word

I can''t make it to heaven
all by myself
so please write your word in me
I''m getting tired Lord
but i''m still walking on

I''m on my way home
through cliffs and jagged vestiges
across the threshold
my brother walks with me

but i can''t make it to heaven
all by myself
so please make a nation for me
I''m getting tired Lord
but i''m still walking on

I can''t make it to heaven
all by myself
so please make the way clear for me
I''m getting tired Lord
but I''m still walking on

. . .so please save a place for me
at your table

God walks with us no matter we are tiered or not, pray to him or not because he love us more then his life. He is our Good shepherd for those who experience his unbound love can’t stop but praise him and thank him for ever. PRAISE HIM FOR HE IS OUR GOOD SHEPHERD.
Your poem has a timeless fragrance of faith. Good piece of work.
FRANCO.
