Hide and Seek

Contributed by Heretic on Friday, 7th April 2006 @ 05:22:44 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I play hide and seek with myself.
I hide from my emotions.
From my love.
From my hate.
From my passion.
From myself.
They always find me.

I hide In my mind.
I hide in my writing.
I hide in my anger.
It still finds me.

No wall can stop it.
No shadow can evade it.
It is chasing me.
It is wearing me down.

I cannot hide any longer.
I have turned to confront it.
It is winning.

I enjoy the way this poem is written. Easy to follow with an interesting topic. The reader is captivated by your hook, leading them through the write. Nicely done.
