From far away I see the tears you try not to let fall,
I know you are hurting,
I know you are fearless,
But still,
Come and sit with me,
If I can let me bear your heavy load with you,
Only for a moment if I can give you rest,
I will with all that’s left in my heart.
If I can give you any relief,
Than please let me do so,
You are becoming so dear to me,
I know not where to began.
You saw me and chose not to believe the lie,
You saw my tears and pain,
And reached out your hand to mine.
I know that now,
You open the door for me,
And pay for my dinner,
But all that matters not,
For that is not why I care for you so much,
I simply care about you.
Because of who and what you are,
I see that beauty within your large and broken heart,
Today you told me of what you did,
Yet to me it does not even come close to mattering,
Most people would have ran and never looked back,
But I just reached for your hand,
And held it tight,
I guess I’m “crazy”
Because that horror did not change a thing,
Except to make me care even deeper still,
I know that you are not the same person,
That you were back then,
To see and know how far you have come,
Makes you all the more important to my heart,
To me there has never been a man more perfect,
So please, please, if I can,
Let me be there every day,
I want to know how you feel and what you think,
And if me making you laugh,
Is all I’m able to do to help,
Please don’t deny me that.
Like water pouring forth from the sky,
Let me pour over you all that’s left of me,
I’m sorry its not more,
But sometimes the softest rain,
Does more good,
Then the fullest down pour.
You know that if you ever,
Do need a thing,
I will be waiting,
Right here, for my dear,
It's truly where I’ve always been.
So please as you can let me in.
I can’t walk away,
Or turn my back,
I know how that feels to much,
To ever do it to another,
Much less to you.
Our friendship is to deep,
And I’m so stubborn,
If only for a moment I can help ease the pain,
Then all my life would be worth the living.
