Finding Someone

staying strong is hard these days
looking for hope
searching for lost dreams
i try to move on
and escape the past
but the memories flood back
i was lost in a world of anger
overtaken by hate & hurt
scared to be alone
scared to be together
feeling all alone
i turned to evil
drugs,alcohol,and al other bad
knowing pain beyond
what others could perceive
looking into my eyes
they pierce you with a stern gaze
an unexplainable harshness
full of frustration & sorrow
can i ever find someone to understand?
