A Blooming Rose In A Bed Of Sand

Contributed by The_Phantom on Saturday, 27th July 2002 @ 07:30:27 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

As I walk down the street,
I see a blooming rose in a bed of sand,
The rose is the only flower I can see,

Standing so proud,
It's beauty so loud,
The smell reminds me of the morning dew,
To tell the truth, it reminds me of you,

The sunlight reflecting a whole new world,
The peddles like arms reaching for the sun,
Like the rose your the only one,

The thorns that protect it,
Only the right man can have it picked,
The stem planted firmly in the ground,
It won't be moved until the right one is found,

The roots like little work men searching for food,
Growing stronger day after day,
They live to do as their master says,

I compare you to the rose,
Becuase it's so beautiful,
And just like the roots,
I'll always be faithful,

This is decated to you,
To show my feeling are true,
Tearsica, I love you.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

Sweetness and gentle love you speak of here. None can top the beauty of a rose. Of course the rose is my favorite flower and many a poem has been inspired by it. Nicely done. June
