Pale Winter Moon

Hung in the sky, there's a pale winter moon;
Shining so bright, the night's lit up like noon.
And sitting here, while I contemplate my life,
I let out a breath, letting go of my strife.
The warm air condenses, and moisture is seen,
A wisp of my life completes the glorious scene.
But where is the heat, the life, or the passion?
Here in the cold, heat is something you ration.
Frigid air blows, turning my skin into hills;
It takes all I have to fight the ominous chills.
And staring upward, through the white-washed blue,
I think, "Spring is coming, where everything's new."
