With hopeful hearts
Divided between red and black
We are the linked parts
Of this war machine you can't put back
We are the outlined faces
In the moshpit of the world
We are not wanting to be replaced
Hardly help how our destinies are unfurled
We arent the only ones
Wanting to be heard
More try every day
Striken with powerful words
We know we are worth it
Thought you condemn us to think not
What with all the commercials and magazines
We've made it this far: give us a shot?
Though every story is different
Most have common ground
We are aware these are the worst years
When you life can depend on a pound
To be so critical is to be a teen
To spend hours at a gym or in front of a mirror
Just to be worthy to be seen
Now there's the affect of those magazines...
So your sick of our whining?
Well, I'm sick of most people I know
Do you hear me complaining?
Do something about it; have something to show
With hopeful hearts
Divided between black and red
We're the ones who can only hope
You hear all the words we said

I think that it is just wonderful! I like the way you wrote, and the point you got across. Power to the people, I heard you. |
